OPD is identifying the man who robbed Esmeralda Restaurant Friday night as 30-year-old Wal Tut.
Officers responded to reports of a robbery in progress around 7:13 p.m. to find the suspect running from the restaurant.
He was captured and taken into custody at 31st and R Streets. Police say he admitted to Friday's robbery and a previous robbery at the same restaurant.
Tut is facing charges of two counts of Robbery and one count of Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony.
