Man found dead in Council Bluffs house fire ID'd

Posted

Authorities have released the name of a man found dead after a Council Bluffs house fire.

The Council Bluffs Police Department says they had to use finger print records to confirm the identity of a 25-year-old Koua Moua.

They say he was found dead by firefighters called to put out flames at a home on Avenue H. They found him in a bedroom where an accelerant was used to start a fire, according to police.

“Evidence from the autopsy indicates that Moua died from injuries he sustained during the fire and that he had not other forms of injury or trauma,” investigator said in a statement Tuesday.

They say there is no evidence of foul play.
