OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Police Department says it is investigating two separate incidents that occurred on Sunday: a shooting near the Field Club and a robbery at a Benson filling station.

Police responded to 37th and Pacific Streets at 9:35 p.m. to investigate the shooting. There, they met up with the victim 43-year-old John Swenson.

Swenson told officers that a white male in all black entered his house and demanded property. Swenson was shot and says the suspect made off in a gold minivan.

Swenson was transported to a nearby medical center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police responded to the report of a robbery at the Speedee Mart at 5822 Maple Street just before 11 p.m. last night. The clerk told officers that a black male wearing all black entered the store and demanded money.

The suspect made off with cash and fled eastbound. No weapon was displayed during the incident.
