Update: A woman is dead and a man remains in the hospital after a shooting near 28th and Ruggles early Thursday morning.
A little after 1:30 a.m. officers responded to CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center after a car dropped off two shooting victims. An adult female later died at the hospital. The male victim is expected to survive.
7:00 a.m. Omaha police are on the scene of a shooting near 28th and Ruggles. Dispatch says a call for shots fired came in at 12:50 a.m. Thursday morning. Multiple shell casings were found on the ground.

On Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 1:38 a.m. officers responded to CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center after a car arrived with two shooting victims. An adult female was treated, but died at the hospital. The adult male victim is being treated for a gunshot wound and is expected to survive. Homicide detectives are investigating the area of 28th and Ruggles as the possible scene of the shooting. |
