Police investigating early morning shooting

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the early hours of Friday morning.

At 12:03 am officers responded to Jackson Towers, 600 S. 27th St. for a shooting. While en route, officers were updated that the victim was walking. Upon arrival Officer found the victim, 32-year-old Marcus Morrow outside the building suffering from an apparent gunshot injury.

The victim said he heard a shot and then realized he had been struck by gunfire. The victim first went into the building for help, then went outside to wait for police. The victim was transported by ambulance to the University of Nebraska Medical Center where it was determined his injuries were non-life-threatening.
