OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Authorities are asking for the public's help finding a hit-and-run driver who critically injured a bicyclist.

On Monday, officers were called to the area of Parkview Drive. Witnesses advised that a light colored silver 2009 Chrysler Sebring sedan with no license plates was heading southbound on Parkview Drive and hit the bicyclist.

The Sebring fled the scene on Parkview towards Maplewood Blvd. The bicyclist, identified as 55-year-old Amos Reckard, was transported to CHI Bergan with critical head and chest injuries by Omaha Fire Department medics.

Reckard was not wearing a helmet. The Omaha Police Traffic Unit is asking for assistance in locating the Chrysler Sebring. The vehicle may have possible hood and windshield damage.
