Police: two arrested in connection to 45-minute crime spree

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Last weekend, crooks hit four different Omaha gas stations in a span of 45 minutes. Last night, the Omaha Police Department made two arrests in connection to the robberies.

Police say they were following up and had information leading them to the area of 45th and Wirt Streets. There, they located a stolen vehicle that matched the description of the vehicle used in the robberies. Officers were able to locate two suspects at nearby homes.

One 17-year-old male was taken without incident and booked at Douglas County Youth Center for five counts of Robbery, one count of Theft by Receiving (Motor Vehicle) and one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

The other suspect, a 16-year-old male, was also booked at the Douglas County Youth Center for four counts of Robbery and four counts of Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony.
