OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha's police union says changes are needed in the area's juvenile justice to avoid a "dangerous problem."
Union leaders say there's concerns about the new Juvenile Justice Center because it will house fewer juveniles than the current Douglas County Youth Center.
The union says the youth center reached its peak capacity earlier this month, meaning some high-risk offenders could end up in group homes.
The union says it plans to hold community forums to look for solutions to the potential problem.
