OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Christmas is now just eight days away, but for many of us this year, celebrating can be a bit tricky.
One local cocktail lounge is trying a new way to mark the holiday with a pop-up celebration called Miracle at Mercury.
Mercury has redesigned its space to allow for small groups of up to eight people to celebrate the holidays.
Separators have been set up to divide groups and give everyone privacy and to ensure safety. The place has also been spruced up with festive decor and themed cocktails.
A specialty drink menu has been prepared with drinks such as the Santa Rex, Christmas-politan and the Snowball Old Fashioned.
All of the craft cocktails can be ordered to go for your at-home gatherings as well.
“Christmas is a really fun season, everybody gets together, people are happier. To be able to see people come in, meet old friends, have fun drinks in a really fun setting and celebrate the season fully with something different, unique that's really cool and something really fun for us to do,” said Clark Ross, owner of Mercury.
This year, Miracle at Mercury is donating 10% of all proceeds from the sale of their specialty glassware to charity.
The money will be donated to the relief efforts of independent restaurants.
Reservations are not accepted as it's a pop-in at your leisure holiday celebration.
