Ralston city leaders voting on arena tonight

RALSTON, Neb. (KMTV) — Ralston city leaders are looking into using lottery money to help revive the city's struggling arena.

The city council is holding a special meeting at five tonight to vote on a proposal to use 750-thousand dollars of lottery funds to help the arena.

One-third of that money will go to fix the arena's parking lot, with other money going to cover operating shortfalls and pay old employees.

The city hired global spectrum to manage the arena, which lsot more than $1 million last year.
