OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Emergency Management Agency of Pottawattamie County said one of the Red Cross shelters that was established for flood evacuees has been closed.

The shelter in Avoca has shut down after officials determined that the Nishnabotna River has begun to recede and that there is no longer an imminent threat to people in the area.
