OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Congressman Don Bacon says he will not take a paycheck as the federal government shutdown continues.

The Republican lawmaker believes members of Congress should be treated the same as other federal employees who are not getting paid. Lawmakers left Washington for the holiday break without any solution to the shutdown.

"Fairness and decency dictate tht my pay be withheld," Bacon said in a release.
