OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A plane carrying those dogs, which came from a kill shelter in Tennessee, landed in council bluffs Sunday afternoon.

The dogs went to Scatter Joy Acres after. They will be fostered and treated for any medical issues so that they can be adopted later on.

"Due to COVID-19, a lot of folks were being forced to give up their animals which is overcrowding shelters in the south which are typically kill shelters, so these are rescues that were flown in by paws and pilots," said Tim Heller of Scatter Joy.

No word yet on when they'll be put up for adoption, but keep track of the Scatter Joy Acres website for more information.
