OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A big downtown renovation project gets underway today.
Omaha city and business leaders will kickoff a major riverfront makeover. The ceremonial groundbreaking at Gene Leahy Mall will kick off the first phase of work on the nearly $300 million project.
MECA is in charge of the work which will change the face of the Mall, Lewis and Clark Landing, and Heartland of America Park. The renovations are scheduled to be complete by the end of 2023.
