A crash along Highway 75, just south of Q Street, around 4:20 p.m. shut down the John F. Kennedy Freeway in both directions during rush hour on Monday.
Drivers were being advised to avoid the JFK Freeway in both directions, as all lanes initially were blocked.

Just before 4:30 p.m., the Nebraska Department of Transportation tweeted at that Highway 75 was closed at Chandler Road, where traffic was being diverted.

Omaha Police are investigating the crash. According to OPD dispatch, two people were transported from the scene; one was taken to CHI Bergen Mercy, another to Nebraska Medicine.
A tow truck reportedly arrived on scene around 5:10 p.m.
NDOT reported the highway was re-opened around 5:30 p.m.
