SARPY COUNTY, Neb. (KMTV) — The Sarpy County Sheriff's Sheriff's Office (SCSO) says scammers may be posing as its employees to dupe people out of cash.

According to a post made by the SCSO, scammers are calling people, telling them payment is necessary in order to clear alleged warrants against them.

While the SCSO says it may call you regarding warrants, it says you will never be asked to provide payment over the phone or by mail.

If you have questions regarding a possible warrant, they say you can call them at 402-593-4371.
