A Sarpy County Deputy County Attorney and her husband who is a Bellevue Police detective were arrested for domestic violence early Tuesday morning.
Harold and Jessica Hessig were both booked for misdemeanor 3rd degree domestic assault and negligent child abuse. Both were released from jail Tuesday morning. Booking photos were not available.
Bellevue Police Chief Mark Albert tells 3 News Now that he is aware of Detective Hessig's arrest, and that Hessig is on administrative leave and this is a personell issue.
Jessica Hessig is a Deputy County Attorney in the Criminal Division. Sarpy County Attorney Lee Polikov tells 3 News Now he is aware of the incident involving one of his prosecutors, and it is a domestic issue. There were children in the home at the time of the incident, and he has not decided whether to discipline Mrs. Hessig because he has not yet reviewed the police reports.
