An inmate died Monday after being found unresponsive in her cell late Sunday night.
According to a release, an inmate at the Saunders County Jail, 54-year-old Kelly Berny-Garcia, was pronounced dead at the Saunders County Medical Center. She was transported there as part of an emergency response procedure.
An autopsy will be conducted and the Nebraska State Patrol is leading the investigation.
