Approximately half an hour later, an officer responding to a shots fired call near 78th & Keystone heard several shots and saw muzzle flashes coming from the passenger side of a nearby vehicle. With backup from other officers and the police helicopter, police stopped the vehicle at 90th and Spaulding and took the two occupants into custody. Officers booked Brandon Dunkinsel and Taiveon Lewis for unlawful transportation of a firearm and unlawful discharge of a firearm.

Then just before 4 a.m. Police were called to the Kum & Go at 82nd and Maple for another shots fired call. While responding, Tylesha Skipper arrived at Immanuel Hospital with a gunshot wound.
