A 2-month-old baby boy has been found after a statewide Amber Alert was issued and police the man he was taken by is in custody.

Police are searching for 2-month-old Jaxon Smetter and an Amber Alert has been issued.
The Fairbury Police Department says Jaxon was abducted and they believe he may be in danger.
Authorities say the infant was last seen in Fairbury, Nebraska. He may be in a brown Kia Rondo with Nebraska license plate #TEF590.
He was last seen wearing a grey shirt that said "I wake up Awesome" and black striped pants. The infant may be with Earnest Howard, a 35-year-old bald white male.

Jaxon Smetter (infant) Last seen in Fairbury, NE Vehicle: Kia Rondo, Brown Nebraska license plate #TEF590 A child has been abducted from Fairbury in/near SE Nebraska. The Fairbury Police Department is looking for a child who was last seen at 916 6th Street, Fairbury and is believed to be in danger. The child's name is Jaxon Smetter. He is a 2 month old male with no Blonde hair and was last seen wearing grey shirt "I wake up Awesome", black striped pants. The child may be in the company of Earnest Howard, 35 year old bald white male. They may be traveling in a Brown Kia Rondo, NE TEF 590 that was last seen heading unknown direction.
