Deputies say shots were fired in an isolated incident of road rage on Interstate 80 Tuesday morning.
The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office says a woman reported she was heading east on I-80, near Neola, around 5 a.m. when a driver fired a handgun at her car, hitting the rear passenger-side tire.
Deputies say her tire had damage consistent with a gunshot. They haven’t been able to locate the suspect.
He is described as a man in his twenties, driving a gray car with stickers on the rear and Wisconsin plates. The vehicle also had blankets in the rear window.
The Sheriff’s Office says they believe the shooting was an isolated road rage incident.
