COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (KMTV) — 1/13/21 UPDATE:
The Council Bluffs Police Department (CBPD) has arrested two suspects for their alleged involvement in an attempted murder in Council Bluffs on Tuesday.
Officers arrived near N 31st and Ave L around 6 p.m. where the victim, 32-year-old Jeffery Enders, was on the ground with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head.
CBPD says medics arrived and started treatment at the scene then transferred Enders to Mercy Hospital for more evaluation.
Detectives gathered information on two possible suspects, identified as 22-year-old Gage Eggum from Omaha and Cody Chapin, a 28-year-old from Council Bluffs.
The suspects were later found and interviewed by detectives, who gathered enough information to take both Eggum and Chapin into custody for attempted murder and going armed with intent.
Eggum and Chapin were transported to Pottawattamie Corrections without incident, according to authorities.
This is an ongoing investigation.

The Council Bluffs Police Department is investigating a shooting.
Just after 6 p.m., officers responded to a shots fired call at the Northgate Apartments. That's located near North 31st and Avenue L.
Witnesses say they saw a couple guys running from the apartments to a parking lot.
One man was taken to the hospital with a critical injury and he is expected to live.
Police are working to identify those involved.
