Omaha Police make arrest in connection to Thursday shooting

Omaha Police arrested a man in connection to a shooting that happened Thursday.

Police responded to the King Kong restaurant on South 13th Street at 4:31 p.m. Thursday and found 22-year-old Christopher Meadows with a gunshot wound to his stomach.

Police said on Saturday that Robert Nemeth was charged with gun used in a felony, possession of a gun by a prohibited person and possession of meth with intent to distribute.

The 28-year-old was booked into Douglas County Corrections.

Meadows was brought to Nebraska Medical Center for his injuries.

Omaha Police are investigating after a 22-year-old shooting victim was located at a King Kong restaurant Thursday evening.

At 4:31 p.m., officers responded to the restaurant at 3362 S. 13th St for a shooting.

Officers located 22-year-old Christopher Meadows with a gunshot wound to the stomach.

Meadows was transported to the Nebraska Medical Center for his injuries, according to police.

Authorities describe the suspect's vehicle as a 2005-2010 white Chevy Cobalt.
