Everyday in the Winter, hundreds of people go to the Siena Francis house looking to escape the cold. People are pulling up a spot to sleep at the shelter wherever they can find room, but the Francis House is dealing with overcrowding.
"The temperature is so below zero for the last couple weeks that last night we had 503 people here on campus, but we only have 394 beds," senior manager Brad Polchow said. "Everyone else was on in an overflow type of thing on mats and we put them in chairs."
