Silent rally to support refugees, immigrants planned in Omaha

This President's Day, a silent rally to show support for Omaha’s immigrant population will light up the city's busiest stretch of street.

The event is called " Light the Way for Refugees and Immigrants." 

Both sides of Dodge Street will be lined with people this evening from Memorial Park to 90th Street.

Organizers of the light the way silent rally say Monday night's demonstration is to show refugees and immigrants are welcome in our communities.

Today's rally is will start at 5:30 p.m. and go for about an hour.
