LOGAN, IA (KMTV) -- The small town of Logan, Iowa is shaken by the death of a mother and her two unborn twins last Monday.
27-year-old Jordan Muxfeldt died after her ATV rolled. Muxfeldt was pregnant with twins, neither of which survived. Her three-year-old son Wade was injured in the accident.
On Sunday, family and friends remembered the Muxfeldt and her twins, Waylon and Whitley, at a visitation in Logan.
"Not a woman of alot of words, her actions were alot greater than her words," said Jon Schaben, a family friend.
Schaben sold cattle to Jordan’s family. She showed cattle and was elected as the National Herdsman of the Year at the Denver Stock Show in 2014.
"Jordan was an expert at it, she was really good at what she did,” Schaben said. “Having kids come through, Jordan created a person they could look up to."
Friends call her an icon to other showwomen.
"She’s just been a big inspiration," said Kim Fisher, a family friend.
Fisher grew up with Jordan's parents, Jay and Lori Straight. She said the family will rely on their faith as they deal with the tragedy.
"As friends you're just there when they need to be, and that's the main thing.” Fisher said. “I know we'll be talking to them and doing things in the future, sharing the sorrow and the joy."
