OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Due to severe weather, trash and recycling collection is delayed in multiple areas around the metro and in Council Bluffs.

See more information below.

Due to road conditions, trash and recycling collection has been halted today, Tuesday, Dec. 29 for Council Bluffs residents on city waste services.

Trash and recycling collection will resume Wednesday, Dec. 30 and be one day behind the remainder of the week with Thursday’s collection on New Year’s Day and Friday's collection on Saturday. Trash limits still apply.

Please be patient with waste haulers as they overcome difficult weather conditions. Placing trash and recycling on top of snowdrifts is unacceptable and may lead to uncollected waste. Clean a place free of snow and ice within five (5) feet of the traveled roadway with a path wide enough to accommodate collection.

For more information, contact the Council Bluffs Recycling Center at (712) 890-5454

Papillion Sanitation has advised that Ralston trash collection will be delayed for the normally scheduled service due to weather. It is anticipated that trash collection will be delayed by a day for the remainder of the week.

Premier Waste Solutions is closed today due to hazardous road conditions. Customers with Tuesday service are asked to leave their carts out and they will be serviced as soon as possible.

Papillion Sanitation is closed today. No residential pickups and limited commercial service. Please leave carts out and we will service customers as soon as conditions allow.
