Our sister radio station Star 104.5 is teaming up with the Salvation Army to make sure every child has something under the tree on Christmas morning.
On Thursday, they set up at Westroads Mall hoping to adopt out two thousand families.
Hundreds of people showed they are giving spirit, signing up to food and gifts to families - during the holiday season.
"Usually you have these moments when you're giving to a charity or something during the Christmas season where you're giving a dollar, and then you walk away, said Maj. Greg Thompson with the Salvation Army.
“Well, this is a moment where don't just get to give a dollar, you get to give of yourself because you get to meet the family as well."
The radio-thon continues Friday morning At 6 am.
There are 400 families left to adopt.
