OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Nebraska State Senator Tony Vargas and area community leaders spoke at the Biden campaign's Soul of the Nation Bus Tour" in Omaha on Wednesday.
Supporters spoke at the South Omaha Library and encouraged the Latino community to vote however they can and as safely as possible.
Senator Vargas praised the candidates for promoting unity and investing in the people of south Omaha.
"We need every single individual to exercise that voice and exercise that power,” said Vargas. “I believe that the Biden/Harris ticket understands that and is going to fight so much, like crazy, to make sure that they're not only winning the vote - what matters to me is that they're going to listen and act on that once they get into office."
Vargas, along with the Metropolitan Community College board of governors member Roger Garcia, later submitted their ballots in a dropbox located at the library.
