OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Omaha Storm Chasers have released more details about "Omaha Potholes Night", scheduled for Wednesday, April 24 at Werner Park.
The organization is inviting workers of 14 Omaha Metro public works departments to the game, showing appreciation for employees working hard in snow and ice during winter and now repairing roads in Spring.
Public works employees in Papillion, Omaha, La Vista, Bellevue, Council Bluffs, Blair, Bennington and Sarpy County Public Works Department are invited to attend.
Storm Chasers players and coaches will be dressed in special batting practice gear featuring the Omaha Potholes name and logo prior to the game that evening. The gear will then be autographed and auctioned off, with all proceeds going to Chasers Charities to repair local little league fields damaged by floods.
A limited amount of Omaha Pothole jerseys will be available exclusively at Werner Park that evening for $50, with 100% of proceeds going to Chasers Charities for flood relief.
The first 1,000 fans into the park will receive a free "Spare Tire" from Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.
Special concession items will also be available at the park for purchase, including Rocky Road ice cream with shovels to use as spoons and a "Pothole Philly" featuring pot roast. Ale Storm beer will also be renamed Pothole Chasers Ale for the evening.
Omaha Potholes merchandise is now available for pre-order, with 20% of proceeds going to charity to repair damaged fields in the Omaha Metro.
Fans can also directly donate to Chasers Charities here.
Tickets for the evening are still available here.
