A Gretna woman made headlines when she became the surrogate for her son and his husband. 61-year-old Cecile Eledge gave birth to her own granddaughter.
Now that family is saying their story will be made into a movie and television show. Matt Eledge and Elliot Dougherty wrote on social media, "We are so excited and so extremely humbled to finally announce some of the projects currently in development!...Upstream Pictures has secured the life rights to The Eledge Family's story to develop a feature film as well as a docuseries featuring the Eledges as they continue to grow their family."
They included a video announcement on YouTube.
Baby Uma Louise Dougherty-Eledge was born in March at Nebraska Medicine.
