Stranger danger in Council Bluffs

Council Bluffs Police are investigating a reported child enticement case.
 
Police say an 11 year old girl was walking in the area of North 35th and Avenue B around 3:30 Monday afternoon when a man drove up and tried to talk to her. When he asked her to get inside his car, the girl ran to a nearby business for help. The girl says she saw him holding a knife at one point during the incident. The man never got out of his vehicle and drove away.
 
The girl describe the car as a white, four-door sedan with Iowa handicapped license plates. The suspect is a white man between 50 and 60 years old with gray or blonde hair with a beard. He was wearing a dark ball cap and dark colored t-shirt.
