Sunday crash leaves three injured

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A crash Sunday evening at Ponca Road and North River Road left three people injured.

Officers were called to the area around 7:45 p.m. and an investigation revealed a 2002 Dodge Ram was driving eastbound on Ponca Road when it ran a stop sign at the Intersection of North River Road and left the roadway. The truck crashed into the ditch on the east side of the road. Three unrestrained adult males were transported to Nebraska Medicine in serious condition.

The driver of the Dodge was identified as 21-year-old Jonta Nivongsa who is being treated for a fractured leg. Charges are pending.

The passengers were identified as 42-year-old Darrell Miller. He is being treated for fractures to a leg and shoulder. The other passenger was identified as 21-year-old Cameron Cook, and he is being treated for fractures to a shoulder, hand, and hips.
