One person in custody after Sunday evening chase

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A police chase on Sunday evening ended with one person in custody and another officer with minor injuries.

Investigators say the chase started when gang officers spotted two stolen trucks near 87th and Grand Avenue around 7 p.m. The officers approached the suspects on foot. One of the stolen trucks was occupied, and the driver drove towards the officers, hitting a cruiser and nearly striking an officer.

After hitting the cruiser, the officers chased the truck, which ended up crashing into a tree near 81st and Hascall. The driver of the stolen vehicle, Clifton Osborn, fled the scene and was tased after running. Osborn was wanted on a warrant for domestic violence.
