Suspect arrested in connection with Saturday cutting

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a cutting that occurred Saturday afternoon that left a man with potentially life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say the assault happened in the area of N 16th St and Pinkney St.

At 1:10 p.m., officers contacted the victim, 59-year-old Rubin Thorton, who was transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Nathaniel Moore, 66, was arrested in connection with the cutting. Moore was booked into Douglas County Corrections for 1st Degree Felony Assault and Use of a Weapon to Commit a Felony.

The investigation is ongoing.
