The TCU baseball team stepped off the field this morning for a special visit.
The Horned Frogs stopped at Children's Hospital to surprise patients who may otherwise not get to take in the sites at TD Ameritrade Park.
The players and coaches say the core value of their baseball program is selflessness and that is what Wednesday's visit was all about.
"It puts everything into perspective, you know, " said TCU Head Coach, Jim Schlossnagle. "We are up here in the College World Series trying to win a national championship and in the grand scheme of things it really means nothing. It's just a life experience for our players, we certainly want to do well, but just to see that smile on the patients face and maybe for that brief moment they're not thinking about the things that they are going through."
