OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — People gathered in Memorial Park on Saturday for the Ballot and Beyond event.
Converstation was focused on the long-term goals of racial equality, and for lawmakers to help resolve issues like police brutality across the nation.
"We're sick and tired of people just putting posterboards of Black Lives Matter but yet we still see the same thing occur over and over again. We want real change and real solidarity, and real change... we want something where you can physically see it vesus just talking about it,” said organizer Lashawn Woodard.
Guest speakers included Nebraska senator Justin Wayne, among others.
