A couple moving across the country was stranded in Council Bluffs Tuesday when someone stole their pickup truck and the vehicles it was hauling.
The Council Bluffs Police Department is asking for the public’s help in getting the vehicles back for Nicolas and Rochelle Craig.
Investigators say the Craigs, who are traveling from Virginia Beach, Virginia, to the state of Washington, stopped for the night at Harrah’s Casino Hotel Monday.
When they woke up the next morning, police say their 2005 Ford F350 and the trailer that was hauling their 2003 Jeep Liberty, were gone, along with the 2008 Yamaha motorcycle that was in the bed of the pickup truck.
Investigators say the Craigs were on their way home after Nicholas Craig just retired from the Navy.
Police provided the license plate information for each vehicle and the trailer:
2005 Ford F350 | Washington plate C95260E
2003 Jeep Liberty | Washington plate AKE6206
2008 Yamaha motorcycle | Washington plate 1D9964
2004 U-Haul trailer | Louisiana plate L832249
If you have any information, you’re asked to call the Council Bluffs Police Department at 712-328-STOP.
