Three people are dead after a wrong way crash near the I-480 southbound to JFK/I-80 eastbound on-ramps.
The crash happened just before 1 a.m. Sunday when the driver of a Chevy Cruz was going northbound in the southbound lanes and collided nearly head-on with a 2000 Chevy Impala.
The male driver and passenger in the Impala were killed along with the driver of the Chevy Cruz.
The highway was shut down for nearly five hours for the investigation.
The traffic unit is working to identify all three killed and notify families.
