OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Today, Outlook Nebraska is holding the Stanley Truhlsen, Jr. Memorial Blind Golf Clinic and tournament to help people with blindness get out on the fairway and take part in other activities.
Outlook Nebraska says golfers of all ages and abilities will be assisted by adaptive golf specialists and local pros who've been trained to help people who are blind.
They say the visually impaired golfers are practicing a number of skills including "driving, chipping and putting techniques."
After instruction, the golfers are taking part in a three-hole tournament for prizes.
Following the clinic, the Tee It Up Fore Sight Tournament will help raise funds to support Outlook Nebraska and its mission to support people who are blind and visually impaired.
