Tracking the honor flight to Washington D.C.

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Today, Purple Heart Recipients and Gold Star Families from the area are taking part in a Purple Heart Honor Flight to Washington D.C. The flight honors those who've been injured while serving in the military and the family of service members who died in the line of duty.

Tonight they'll return to Omaha for a parade honoring their service.

4:34 p.m. Update -We have been told by our own Courtney Johns, who joined the honor flight, that the parade scheduled at 9 p.m. at 10th and Jackson Streets will be dealyed by 90 minutes. We will provide updates as they become available.
