Troopers seize marijuana in I-80 traffic stop

Posted
Nebraska State Troopers seized nearly 28 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Maxwell in Lincoln County.

The State Patrol says a trooper stopped an eastbound 2003 Ford Excursion for failure to signal a lane change. The driver and lone occupant of the SUV showed the trooper a small amount of marijuana for personal use. A subsequent search uncovered 26 packages of pot in two duffel bags in the rear of the vehicle.

Troopers booked 73 year old Laurence Boeger of Lincoln, California in the Lincoln County jail on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
