A man and a woman are dead after a shooting at the Alpine Village Apartments around 11:15 p.m., according to La Vista police say.
Chief Bob Lausten says the suspect, whose name has not been released, called police and told them he had shot a woman inside the home and then turned the gun on himself.
Both the suspect and the victim are said to be in their 70s.
