26-year-old, 4-year-old dead in Pierce County crash

Two people are dead following a two-vehicle crash in Northeast Nebraska Thursday. 

The driver of a Buick Enclave died at the scene and a small child died later at the Faith Regional Services Hospital. 

The driver was identified as 36-year-old Rebecca Fischer and the child was identified as 4-year-old Lium Fischer. 

At around at 12:45 p.m., the Buick Enclave was struck by a semitruck while making a left turn, according to the State Patrol. 

Lara Fischer, 2, and Scarlett Fischer, 5, were also injured in the crash. The two girls are expected to survive. The driver of the truck, 26-year-old Tanner Albus, is in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
