Two people were critically hurt in a late afternoon crash in Millard.
Paramedics were called to 138th and Millard Avenue around 4 p.m.. Police shut down eastbound traffic on Millard Avenue due to the crash.
The investigation revealed that the driver of a Ford Mustang, Cory Vohs, was traveling in a northeasterly direction on Millard Avenue from S Street at a high rate of speed.
The Mustang drove past Q Street and collided with a Chevrolet Traverse that was trying to make a left turn from westbound Millard Avenue onto 138th Street.
The driver of the Traverse, Nancy Brickley, and the other driver had to be extricated from their vehicles by Omaha Fire/Rescue personnel and transported to Nebraska Medicine with critical injuries.
Vohs is being treated for head injuries, broken ribs, internal bleeding, broken pelvis, broken femur and a broken ankle.
Brickley is being treated for a broken femur, a broken ankle and a subdural hematoma.
