OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Police say two men were injured in a crash early Sunday just east of N 78th and Blondo St.

Around 1 a.m., officers arrived in the area for a personal injury crash involving two vehicles.

According to Omaha Police, a 2018 Subaru Legacy was eastbound on Blondo St when it crossed the center line and hit a 2007 Ford Edge.

The collision caused the Subaru to start on fire.

Authorities say the driver of the Ford and others pulled the driver of the Subaru out of the vehicle to safety.

The driver of the Subaru, Joseph Hamilton, 25, was transported to CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital by medics. Hamilton suffered a serious injury to his leg and a possible leg injury, both of which are considered non-life threatening.

Hamilton was cited for DUI and driving left of center.

The driver of the Ford, Shannon Jones, 39, suffered a minor injury to his leg.
