Council Bluffs Police are investigating a threat against Lewis Central High School Wednesday afternoon.

A man called 9-1-1 claiming he was inside the school and made threats about shooting people and setting off explosives. Several officers responded and searched the building, but found nothing.  Both Lewis Central High and Middle Schools dismissed early today so there were few students in the building. Faculty and staff who were inside were kept in a safe location during the search.

Nearby Titan Hill Intermediate and the Iowa School for the Deaf went on lockout status until it was determined there was no threat. Police were present when Titan Hill dismissed, which was delayed for several minutes.

Police say once identified, the caller could face numerous charges including terroristic threats.
