The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has named its new Chancellor.
University President Hank Bounds announced Ronnie Green is his choice to become the school's 20th Chancellor. During his introduction Wednesday, Green said that UNL is a fundamentally good university and he believes the best days lay ahead. Green also said that UNL will become a distinctive Big Ten university and it was time to roll up our sleeves and work hard.
Green was the only internal candidate to replace outgoing Chancellor Harvey Perlman. Green was the Vice President of Agriculture and Natural Resources at UNL.
Green's appointment is subject to the approval of the Board of Regents.
