OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — UNO's 16th annual Just Can It! Food Drive kicks off on Thursday. Members of Pi Kappa Alpha will be sleeping outdoors Thursday night to drum up donations for Salvation Army food pantries and raise awareness of food insecurity and homelessness locally.
Donations of nonperishable food - and monetary donations - will be accepted starting at noon Thursday and going through 6 p.m. on Friday at the Baxter Arena Infinity Lot. Items on the wish list include: cereal, peanut butter, canned stews and soups, canned vegetables and meats, tomato products, and boxed dinners.
