LINK: Bald Eagle Nest cam shows eaglet hatch

The world was able to watch as a baby eagle hatched Friday in a Washington, D.C. nest featured in an online webcam.

The American Eagle Foundation confirmed the eaglet fully emerged from its shell at 8:27 a.m. Eastern.

The eagles that live in the nest located at the U.S. National Arboretum are named Mr. President and The First Lady.
